Love lessons from the huemul
Earth Day is approaching (April 22), and we’ve been appreciating the gifts of springtime in the northern hemisphere. But as much as we love the earth, it’s good to revisit questions like, “What does it really matter that a little-known mammal is going extinct?” Liuan Huska explores the gifts of biodiversity and what we can learn about cultural diversity through God’s creation.
“That means, by extension, that huemuls matter to God. They, too, glorify God and are wrapped up in God’s desire to restore all things. Without the huemul, something is missing.”
As the end of the school year approaches, our writing responsibilities and tasks tend to increase. This prayer by Carmen Imes offers spiritual perspective and frames a request for courage from the “Author and Word of Life.”
“Help me articulate truth beautifully, precisely, and lovingly. May I not be so enamored with the sound of my words that I neglect sound content. Enable me to present these ideas in a winsome way that does justice to their importance.”
