Welcome back, dear friends! We are delighted to be walking into a new academic year alongside you. Whether you have received refreshment this summer or encountered unexpected challenges, we’re ready to see how God might be inviting you to live into your best self this year.
For some of you, the first day of school may be just around the corner — or even already begun. For others, you may have a few weeks of summer to savor still. And for those of you whose schedules aren’t aligned with an academic calendar, we’re here for you too! No matter your situation, perhaps the time has come to spend a few minutes in gentle reflection and planning for a fresh beginning. We’re pleased to be sharing our 2022 back-to-school podcast episode this week as a launching pad for the kind of intentional thinking that gets a new year started on the right foot.
"I start off with trying to make sure the student knows someone is looking forward to seeing them." — Jana Young
As you plan for the new year, perhaps you might consider joining a community of like-minded women for discussion and mutual encouragement? We offer such a community through our online book clubs, and you can join us this fall as we read through 7 Deadly Sins of Women in Leadership. Through our reading and discussion, we’ll be addressing questions like:
What are obstacles you face as women leaders?
What barriers within yourself negatively impact how you lead?
What might be unconscious ways you might be undermining your own leadership?
Our book clubs offer a thriving community space to discuss challenging questions in a safe environment. If you’re interested, click through to register and learn more details! The first meeting will be September 25.
One more note. If you head to The Well, you might notice a few little things that are different about our website — including a new landing page for Women Scholars & Professionals!
While we’re in the middle of some behind-the-scenes construction, some website features might be on the blink — so let us know if you have trouble finding anything. In the meantime, any new content will be posted here on our Substack page. Thanks for your patience with us!
