Staying with Jesus.
The calendar is racing closer to Easter, but the church reminds us first to walk with Jesus through those final hours of suffering that feel so raw. Karen Guzmán takes inspiration from the women around Jesus and their capacity to remain near to him in his darkest moments.
“They stayed with him through the entire horrendous ordeal and beyond, waiting to see where he was buried so they could anoint his body after the Sabbath. Their loving care for their Lord meant they were the first witnesses to his resurrection.”

“And perhaps, instead of a legacy of tears, hardship, and sorrow for women, Eve’s story will come to be heard as a call and invitation to respect, celebrate, and honor God’s blessing to the world in the daughters of Eve.”
